CDRinfo tester DVD brændere til PC'er og tester også om skiverne efterfølgende kan afspilles.
Jeg har samlet lidt data om to brændere og om de DVD+R Dual layer skiver de har brændt også er kompatible med gængse afspillere.
CDRinfo skriver selv "For our compatibility tests, we used the two burned DVD+R DL discs with DVD-Video content ("Gladiator Movie - Special Edition" Disc1), PowerDVD v5.0 and Windows Media Classic.
We played our DL media at all supported reading speeds on the following drives.The results are shown below:"

Vi kan altså konkludere at de nye skiver ikke er 100 % kompatible.
Det bemærkes specielt at Pioneer A06 kan afspille dem og den nyere model A07 ikke kan. Mystisk!
